situation slovenska _35 / intermediary report:
It all began in the Mala galerija at 35, Slovenska street in Ljubljana, during the preparatory stages of the solo show of the artistic alliance son:DA. The cables took over and overran the gallery space. Then they broke out of the gallery and into the street, soon covering the town. Now they are spreading with great velocity throughout the regions of Slovenia and over the national borders into the European Union and beyond. Experts are at a loss how to stop them, what to do, what action to take. It is time to panic.

son:DA is an artistic alliance of Metka Golec(1972) and Miha Horvat(1976), active since 2000. Characteristic of their work is the linking of various technologies and media, as well as a new approach to group work. son:DA combine experimenting with and exploring sound, space, moving and static pictures. In their work they focus on various techniques and media, on diverse materials and modes of work from digital to analogue appliances and approaches. http://sonda.kibla.org

The exhibition catalogue is to be published in December 2007, co-produced by Moderna galerija, Galerija Škuc and Galerija Miklova hiša v Ribnici.

The project has been supported by the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Slovenia.

Some of them interconnected, others did not, their concepts have been handed in, the selection is about to begin, the euphoria has turned into waiting. The winning concept will receive a lot of capital to carry out culture and art in the dream year of 2012.
